Shopping streets are at their busiest during the holiday period. However, shoppers don’t realise that they can also get their Christmas purchasing done at KPN stores. BrandBase was asked – by means of retail activation – to ensure an increase in traffic to stores.

Solution

You put everything you’d like to receive as a present on your Christmas wish list. KPN lends a helping hand and has already put the coolest products in a list for you. At KPN shops, you could fill in the Top 3 of your wish list and have a chance of winning the products. We announced the winners at Christmas. In order to provide support for this retail campaign, we placed ads in – among others – national newspapers De Telegraaf and Spits! In the shopping streets surrounding all 120 KPN stores, shoppers could also encounter hostesses and the fastest elves ever seen: the 4G elves. These elves jumped, flew, and suddenly appeared in the streets and received plenty of attention for the campaign. Outside of KPN stores, we also provided accompanying materials, such as large-format wish lists on building fa├žades. In-store, we designed wall panelling and provided the foundation for the digital wish list interface.

The 4G Pete’s┬áreceived quite a lot of attention in shopping streets. Together with the hostesses, they distributed wish lists and – along with creating a unique atmosphere in and around the stores – provided extra traffic to KPN shops during the holiday period.
