Generation Discover Festival 2018

35,000 visitors. Five days. One action-packed festival of science and technology to inspire a new generation. The third edition of Generation Discover Festival took place at the Malieveld in The Hague. During this five-day festival, young people are introduced to science, technology and innovation in truly unique, instructive but playful way. In the futuristic domes visitors can generate energy on a kinetic dance floor, join one of the many workshops organised by a large number of 20 partners, contributing to the city of the future, flying with drones, experiencing Virtual Reality worlds, racing with a car that runs on salt water and more.

The Generation Discover Festival, a concept and production by BrandBase, bigger than ever before and with a record-breaking visitor number. Shell believes that we need the brain power of students in primary education in shaping the world of tomorrow. That is why Shell and 20 partner companies like Nemo, Linde, ABN AMRO and Samsung want to inspire a young audience turn their ideas about the future into reality.

 

Finally, on Thursday night, the 19th of October, the festival was the scene to one of the One Young World Summit Community Dinners in The Hague. Hosting organisations such as Unilever, Heineken, KLM, Friesland Campina and Shell talked to young professionals about their goals for a better world.
